D&B Construction is building a mixed-use property on the site of the former Village Greens Golf Course. This design-build project is being constructed for our repeat client The Commonwealth Group LLC, who is based out of Wilmington, Delaware. The developer, Donald Robitzer Jr., is the grandson of the man who built the golf course in 1964.
Once complete, these 34-acres of land will consist of an assisted-living facility, a medical office building, and six three-story apartment buildings. Nearly two-thirds of the units will be single-bedroom apartments, while 18 units are approved to be constructed as three-bedroom apartments. All six buildings will contain 36 units each. Amenities of the apartment complex will include a 4,758 square foot clubhouse, Shuffleboard, Horseshoes, a Bocce Court, community gardens, a picnic area, and a walking/biking trail.
The assisted-living facility will be built on its own lot separate from the six apartment buildings, and the medical office building will reside on a third lot at the corner of Broad Street and Penn Avenue. This triangular site will include three access points off of Broad Street, Reedy Road, and the third off of Cacoosing Avenue near Penn Avenue.
