D&B Construction completed a medical fit out for Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists. A complete third floor demo of approximately 25,000 square feet took place to make way for the installation of new HVAC, plumbing, electric, and sprinkler design. The front entry also received a remodel, and the height of the ceiling was expanded from 9 feet to 10 feet and 6 inches. In the waiting room and check-in area you will find a multi-tiered ceiling before passing by 18 exam rooms, 2 x-ray rooms, multiple provider and storage rooms, a break room installed with many utilities, a locker room, and a physical therapy gym.
Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists' Warrington location fit out featured many intricate architectural detail and finishes, from the millwork, ceilings, and doors to the linear lights and diffusers. Everything was custom, from the reception desk and furniture to the pendants, wall graphics and art work, making it no wonder why this project was awarded the IIDA-GA's Best of the Best 2021 for Heal <35,000 SF. Noteworthy design work can be found in the physical therapy gym, where you will be greeted by exposed ceilings, spiral duct and floating clouds. This custom project was completed in approximately eight months despite constantly needing to reschedule and protect finishes due to delays from COVID-19 shutdowns.
The new office space opened to the public in October 2020. This project allowed BCOS, the #1 rated provider of orthopedic care in the Greater Bucks and Montgomery County area, to consolidate three separate offices into one large fully-integrated suite that houses both their orthopedic practice and Fitness Physical Therapy division. Having everything under one roof has allowed the practice to further improve the coordinator of care for their patients.
In March of 2021, D&B Construction completed a second satellite office for BCOS. Learn more about this office, located on the second floor of Doylestown Hospital’s new ambulatory center, here.
