Tis the season of giving! Our team has been busy putting emphasis on our "We Care" mantra by giving back to the community through food donations for Philabundance, Angel Tree gifts for deserving kids at Children's Home of Reading, and volunteering our time at Helping Harvest. In this issue you'll also find project updates on two of our current active jobsites: A mixed-use property being built by our Delaware Valley team in Kennett Square, PA and another ground-up mixed-use project taking place at the former Village Greens Golf Course in Sinking Spring, PA. Of course, this issue also includes our annual holiday videos - both from our commercial construction and residential construction teams. As a team we've celebrated many victories together this year, as well as overcome many hurdles. Looking back, it was a year of change and growth. It is hard to believe we are coming up on our one year anniversary of our Corporate office moving to a larger space so we can continue to evolve (as well as our 12 year anniversary this February). In 2023, our residential sister company, D&B Elite Custom, will be moving into their new office space so they can continue to better serve our homeowner clients after being voted the People's Choice in Top Home Contractor and Top New Home Builder two years in a row.

We recently celebrated National Construction Appreciation Week. This time of acknowledgement and celebration, which takes place during the third week in September every year, was founded in 2018 by I Build America as a way to honor all who work hard day in and day out to build our communities across the Nation. Nearly three years after the pandemic began, companies in the industry continue to see labor shortages and delays in material. These challenges, coupled with the dwindling amount of available development space in more metropolitan areas and the current housing market and shortage, make for the perfect opportunity to capitalize on the current climate by converting office space into multi-family living. Despite these challenges, the drive, commitment, and adaptability of industry workers keep construction a major contributor to the U.S. economy, with nearly $1.4 trillion worth of structures created each year. For that, we tip our hard hats off to all our brothers and sisters in the industry – especially Team D&B and our extended team of Trade Partners. To celebrate, we've recently highlighted two D&B team members who embody our core values and the D&B way - Alex and John.

As usual, a lot has been happening at D&B over the last few months! In May we celebrated the completion of the fifth floor of an 80,000 SF adaptive reuse project with a topping off ceremony, and the following month we started a multi-family project on the right foot with a ground-breaking ceremony for our client's latest ground-up construction project. This Spring, our residential sister company D&B Elite Custom was recognized as the 2022 People's Choice winner for the New Home Builder and Top Home Contractor. Here's a behind the scene's look at what we've been up to with some of our projects actively underway!

Although we’re just a quarter of the way into the year, a lot has been happening for D&B and we don’t think our team of go-getters would have it any other way. We hit the ground running from the start of 2022, with a race to the finish line as we moved into our new Corporate Headquarters in Wyomissing, PA. From here, we took a quick breather and now spring construction season is in full swing! Here's what we've been up to, both on our jobsites and in our new headquarters...

Like most other individuals, we were filled with a sense of optimism as we left 2020 in the rearview mirror. Now, as 2021 comes to a close, we reflect on all of the challenges we have overcome as a team throughout this year – from supply chain issues to labor shortages. Like many businesses, we got creative and thought outside the box, made pivots and adapted. Often with great challenges come great rewards. The grit of our team and extended team of Trade Partners and Suppliers helped us continue to complete projects on time and within budget for our clients, despite the obstacles we may have run into in these unprecedented times. As we look back on this year, we are once again proud of what our D&B family has achieved, both collectively and individually. In this issue you'll see a recap of our year in review, get décor inspo from our residential team, get a sneak peek of our new corporate office that we are moving to in the New Year, and more!
